Atlanta, Ga. (Diane's Interior Creations, workroom for Peddler Interiors) May 13, 2010 - Diane Preston of Diane's Interior Creations was the recipient of first place in the Top Treatment category at the prestigious 2010 Envision Design and Ingenuity Workroom Competition, presented by Grace McNamara, Inc, publisher of Windows Fashion Vision magazine. The 27th annual "best of the best" awards ceremony was the culmination of the central competition that recognizes the industry's best designs and fabrications in a variety of categories.
Winners were announced at the U.S. window-treatment industry's only trade show, Vision10: International Window Coverings Expo at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga., which took place May 12-15, 2010.
The Tudor Valance was designed by Miller Caudle and Jerome Farris of Peddler Interiors sto emphasize a Tudor themed, masculine study here in Murfreesboro. The winning treatment was made from rich, solid-colored suede fabrics and multi-colored trim; however, what set the valance apart was the custom designed Tutor themed appliqués. Designed for a home which had a specific Historical Theme, research became essential to ensuring design details were appropriate to the Tudor Style. We worked hard to gather a pool of emblems which were symbolic of the period, took our favorite aspects of each, and combined them to create a pattern unique to our perspective. Once the project was completed Ambler Brown of Ambler Brown Photography out of Knoxville, TN captured the essence of treatment and the room through his captivating photography.
